what is required for my dog to be able to join Adventures?

Your dog does not need to be perfect to join, however we do need to know that they are not aggressive toward other dogs and that they have recall abilities. Your dog also needs to be up to date with their vaccinations.

How do you access my dog for walks and day training?

If you will not be home at the time of your service, then we will need to arrange access to the property. This will be discussed further at our meet and greet for security reasons.

Why Chloe’s Canine Co?

Chloe’s Canine Co provides much more than your basic dog walking and training services. We are insured, qualified and extremely attentive to our clients. Chloe’s Canine Co is the only business that offers a morning adventure at a fully fenced park exclusively used by your dog and their friends. We are trained in reading dogs body language which is an incredibly important skill to have in order to read dogs in social situations. Most importantly, when your dog is with us you will feel calm and content knowing that they are in trustworthy hands.

Our training services are designed to be simple and effective. We focus on providing you with the skills to be able to handle any situation you come across. Chloe has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies as well as her Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training, and is currently completing Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course and Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training.

What happens if my dog needs veterinary care on a walk?

In the very rare case that your dog is injured, we will assess the situation and take the appropriate steps. We have first aid kits and in the rare event that the dog needs veterinary care and you are not reachable, we will transport the dog to the vet specified in your file or the nearest vet if we don’t have this information.

How do I pay?

Our seamless app makes payment for our walking and adventure services easy via integration with stripe. Payment is taken on Friday after your walks are conducted.

A $50 deposit is to be paid at the time of booking a training service and will subsequently be taken out of the full fee, which is to be paid via bank transfer 24 hours before the appointment or in cash on the day.

Our classes are to be paid in advance upon signing up for one of our courses..

How do the dogs get to the park?

Dogs are picked up from home and transported to and from their adventures in our van. Our vans are insulated as well as the ability to leave the air conditioning running while the car is locked which provides a safe environment for the dogs on hot days when other dogs are being collected.

Each dog is provided with their own private space to enjoy their enrichment activities on their travels.  Each space also holds a water bowl to ensure your dog is hydrated at all times.

What happens on my dogs first Morning adventure with you?

When a new dog joins the pack we take care to make sure they are introduced in a safe way. All dogs are placed in their own private area for travel. This way if any dogs aren’t happy with each other there is no harm to any dogs involved, it also is a less intimidating and stressful way for the dogs to properly assimilate into the crew. Your pooch will need to be temperament tested before joining the crew to ensure they are a good fit for this service.

What's the difference between Day Training and 1 on 1?

In our 1 on 1 behavioural modification sessions, we have owners onboard. We have a 90-minute inital consultation to map out your goals, follwed by two 60-minute follow up sessions to get you and your furry friend on track. Between sessions we’ve got your back with full support available.

Our Day Training sessions start with a 60-minute inital consultation with you, your pooch, and Chloe. Then, Chloe will conduct three 45-minute training sessions while you work (or run errands – your call). We’ll send you some notes and videos after sessions so you’re across what’s happening in the sessions. We’ll then have a 60-minute handover session together in order to bring you up to speed on how to keep up your pooch’s newfound skills. This option is usually preferred if you’re short on time or not quite confident with handling the training by yourself.
